Baked Apples

*gluten & dairy free

Make sure you do at least one seasonal activity this weekend! I suggest making baked apples, they are a delicious (and sorta healthy) treat.


  • 4 large apples (crispen get softer than gala, all up to what you prefer!)
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using an apple corer, cut 3/4 of each core out. In small bowl, combine sugar, cranberries & pecans. Fill each cavity with mixture. Place apples in deep baking dish and fill pan with water about 1/4” or enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Bake about 1 hour or until apples shrink in size and are easily pierced with a fork. Serve with ice-cream or whipped cream if desired.
